Vintage Love

Friday, April 16th 2010

One thing that I'm elated about is how much vintage fashions have come back with full force. I think some of the pieces from the past are the most awe inspiring - it's like taking a time machine back to that era.

A favorite source of mine for vintage has become Shrimpton Couture. Based out of Toronto (though the shop is online) - this is hands down your go to resource for delicious fashion finds. It has amazing finds from all different eras for clothing and accessories.

A frequent browser to the site, and an avid fan of everything 60's and 70's - it was natural that my eye was drawn to this little piece of heaven a 1960s Silk Floral dress by Tina Leser (pictured above).

Devastated it's not in my size - I look at it constantly. I have yet to find a stellar tailor that can do beautiful alterations. Until then, I dream of this beauty.

Loving the open back:

The sash around the waist is also endlessly versatile.

What do you think of the garment?

Warmest wishes,
