Poolside Goddess

I'm not normally a fan of swim wear. I love bathing suits that exude style, elegance, all while flattering a woman's figure - a task not easily done - after all, how much fabric do you have to work with? So, I'm normally drawn to vintage inspired pieces, more often than not, ones that lean more towards a one piece - stunners.

However, I found this little gem, and it screams glamour. This little number by Melissa Odabash ($340) is stunning with the white on gold combination. It speaks Grecian elegance to me. Against some golden skin? Perfection.

However, to add to the appeal, I thought the bathing suit was missing something. To pump it up a notch, I thought it would look best with a gold necklace also - this one by Malene Birger ($150) adds a lil' Egyptian quality that I feel matches beautifully.

I then became carried (dreaming really) away whilst browsing on net-a-porter.com and continued to build a poolside vibe I loved.

I decided to include the most divine pair of Jimmy Choo's - a brandy mirrored leather slingbacks ($595). I've written a note to self that they need an invitation to join my closet. Alexander McQueen was next of choice to join this ensemble with his python clutch (a whopping $1990). Love the cocktail rings that are fashioned on the top! Priced at more than modest, this sadly will be a clutch I admire from a far. A girl can dream, can't she?

I couldn't resist throwing in the Marni Frames ($395).

*Le sigh* Glamour, glamour, glamour. How I love thee so.

What do you think?

Warmest wishes,
