I’m all for comfort – I think that in order to feel stylish, you have to feel comfortable while doing it!

However, there is a “trend” with women that needs to stop – Ugg boots and sweat/yoga/pj pants.

I’m not really sure how this look surfaced, but it’s awful. It makes everyone’s legs look stumpy and wide. It’s almost like someone out there was trying to go for a “sloppy/student chic look” – as if there could ever be such a thing.

The pictures above are ones I took while shopping this weekend - Horrifying.

Pairing exercise pants, or sweats with Uggs, a chic top and designer purse does not equal a fashionable or relaxed look my friends. It looks awkward, sloppy, and you look like you’re wearing a loaf of bread on your feet.

Fashionable alternative? Try Yoga jeans - VERY comfortable (it feels like wearing pj’s) but they are denim!They’re perfect for running around town or chasing the kids. Cole Haan is also a fabulous alternative for comfortable footwear.

oh god...thank you dear for making comments on this horrific, horrific "trend" to me this is just pure and utter laziness. in my opinion, it takes just as long to look decent and presentable as it does to look sloppy and dishelved. this look is not attractive,nor does it present a positive image of oneself to anyone... this is a "look" that i wish would die a very brutal painful death. there is absolutely no excuse for it. perhaps i hate it so much because to me comfort is 5" heels, pencil skirts and blouses and I don't know this form of comfort, but really, no money in the world could get me to leave the house in this get up!

You need to spread this far and wide, my dear! Considering how often Ugg crimes are committed in my fashionable, Queen West neighbourhood, I can only image how many Ugg spottings there are out in the 'burbs.

"... a loaf of bread" - HA! I fear that these women think they are getting the best of both worlds - comfort and style. Style because they think it's trendy to wear shapeless pants with Uggs because they see others doing it. They need to ask themselves: do the other women actually look good? The answer is NO! Those yoga jeans look fantastic and I love to support homegrown talent, especially now that I live in England. Thanks for the tip!

I really love my Uggs - they are unfailingly comfortable and warm. Other winter boots rub the back of my heel to the point of agony. I never wear them with sweatpants, but I do wear them with skinny jeans. (Gasp.) No, they're not beautiful, but I'd rather not limp around every day in more "chic" boots just for the sake of fashion. :/

Ugg boots are well...........just plain ugly! I don't understand why they are so popular. (Unfortunately, my GF has a pair, so I bought her some nice black Leather boots for Xmas!) As for the combo shown in the pics; That is a true fashion crime!
