70's love from Gucci

Wednesday, March 3rd 2010

Leave it up to Gucci to ensure that glamour is served on the runway. Frida Giannini delivered gold when the models hit the catwalk recently showing the fabulous fall/winter 2010 collection.

A label that always delivers, Gucci took things to the next level with the ultra lux collection. An array of the most luxurious materials were used (from napa leather, suede, and beaver fur) in gorgeous neutrals - shades that all collections seem to be following for the upcoming season. Blacks, camels, greys, and other earth tons were scattered throughout the collection.

The entire collection was fairly polished - as it has very clean lines throughout - though not overly severe, which still left a beautiful womanly silhouette.

Though there was a definite nineties influence in the relaxed elegance of the collection (which honestly - I wasn't a fan of - not big on the 90's), the overly inspiration of the collection was certainly picked up from the 70's era. On of my most favorite decades. To me, it is the epitome of glamour and rock.

An overall stunning collection - one I can't wait to get my hands on.

What do you think?
